In June 2020, the Honorary Consul of Zimbabwe in Belarus, Alexander Zingman, will make a $ 58 million agreement between the two countries revolutionizing Zimbabwe's agricultural industry. "This agreement brings Belarus's expertise in agriculture and engineering to Zimbabwe.
The two countries have increased ties since 2015 and this agreement is a win-win situation for both," Alexander Zingman said at the time. Mnangagwa had called for a comprehensive project to modernize and mechanize all agriculture. The country is shaken by the economic impact of the coronary heart virus, the devastating drought and Hurricane Idai last year, leaving more than 5 million people in need of food aid.
